Web2XML Inc.
Announces Strategic Agreement with Okino Computer Graphics Inc.
Misssissauga, Ontario – August 24, 2001
Web2XML Inc., a leading provider of XML
(eXtensible Markup Language) solutions, is pleased to announce a Licensing agreement with Okino Computer Graphics Inc.
Under this agreement, Okino will integrate Web2XML’s Web Integration Server technology into the Okino’s line of products.
Web2XML’s Web Integration Server utilizes
proprietary parsing and context analysis technologies to extract and post vital data to and from web sites, creating a two-way XML bridge
between applications and existing web sites. This allows automated content extraction, content aggregation, and data interface for various
purposes including comparison-shopping, business intelligence, m-commerce processing, and supply chain management and procurement solutions.
Paul C. Tan, President and
CEO of Web2XML Inc., said, “We are pleased with this agreement. We believe that the synergistic addition of our technology will
enable Okino to provide encompassing and innovative solutions."
Robert Lansdale, President of Okino Computer Graphics Inc., said, “With the spiralling growth and popularity of the Internet
it was only natural that we move into a WEB initiative as of January 2000, an initiative to closely bind the Web and its vast
resources of 3D model and image assets with our popular PolyTrans and NuGraf software.
By licensing the technically excellent Web Integration Server XML technology from Web2XML we will now be able to provide our
users with intelligent searching of the entire Web for specific classes or sub-sets of 3D models and 2D texture images, all
within the PolyTrans and NuGraf user interfaces”
